Thief stole goddess Chakreshwari Devi’s idol on 20th February from Umta Jain Derasar of Visnagar. Following this Gujarat Police nabbed the accused from Rajasthan. The idol is worth 1 crore rupees. The accused is involved in many such illegal smuggling case.

Gujarat BJP to organize Kisan Chetna Yatra from 6th of April which is the birthday of the party. BJP target central government by saying that that lift of cotton export is conditional. The yatra will start from 6th April and will continue for the entire month. During this they will spread awareness among farmers regarding their rights. On the other hand Congress party says that this is merely a political stunt of BJP party and will also organize similar program for the farmers.
Soda Gas cylinder blasted in a shop of Tower Chowk of Kalol city in Gandhinagar. The blast was so powerful that cylinder flew out of the roof of shop. The entire shop was damaged severely in which 5 people were injured critically. Among them four people died, including the owner of the soda shop, its workers as well as a 6 year old girl. The fifth one is getting treated in the hospital. Police has started investigating in the case.
9 members of a family attempted suicide by consuming poisonous medicine. But before the poison could spread all over the body they were taken to hospital and all were saved. The reason behind this step was defamation. Before sometime a man in their village died mysteriously for which everyone blamed this family. Hence, not able to take insult they attempted suicide. Police is investigating further in the case.
In the assembly session rupees 500 crore is allocated by State Gov. for Ahmedabad-Gandhinagar Project. Last year 50 crore was allocated for the same. This project is being undertaken to solve the traffic problems.

Congress workers oppose Governor, Dr. Kamla’s speech during the final budget before the Vidhansabha Elections. They protested by saying that the Governor only appreciated CM Narendra Modi and did not talk anything about the progress of the state. They repeatedly said slogan “Hisab Do Jawab Do” and because of the this Governor shortened the speech. Hence the meeting was left incomplete because of the process.

Permission was granted to congress leader only to organize meet but not to carry out rally. Despite that they took out rally. To control them police charge lathi on them and use tear Gas. Both the leaders Arjun Modhvadia and Shanakr Sinh Waghela were detained.
