A stampede took place at the Bhavnath Temple as devotees in large amount came to worship Lord Shiva following the auspicious occasion of Maha Shivratri. But because of the unexpected crowd the devotees the stampede took place at the Pajnaka bridge. 7 people died in this stampede 3 women, 2 kids and 2 men. Approximately 30 people were shifted in hospital following injuries. State Government declared a compensation of one lakh to the family of dead and 25 thousand to the injured. –

Like every year 5 day fair of Maha Shivratri at Bhavnath has begun in Junagadh. This fair is held to celebrated the marriage Ceremony of Lord Shiva with Parvati according to Lunar Calendar. In this festival devotees celebrates the vitality of the Shiv, prayers are offered and is celebrated with great enthusiasm. On the first day Dharm Sabha was organized in which large number of saints participated. It is estimated that compared to last year this year more number of saints have thronged at Bhavnath to celebrate wedding of Bhole Bhandari.

Tv9 Gujarat – HIV Positive Scam: One More Positive Report of Thalassemic Kid, Junagadh
The ghost of HIV among thalassemic children has haunted the Civil Hospital in Junagadh where one more such patient has reportedly been tested positive for the deadly virus. A two-year-old boy was tested HIV positive 22 children registered with this government hospital were tested HIV positive. Local police are investigating the incident after the Gujarat High Court ordered a probe into the matter.
Tv9 Gujarat – Girnar Arohan Avrohan Competition, Junagadh
National level Competition of Girnar Arohan Avrohan ended today. Total 15 states participated in this competition. There were 252 participants both male and female. Males were supposed to climb 5000 steps in 1 hour. Ramesh Solanki of Senior boys department made a new record by coming first and completing the competition in 55.33 minutes. Whereas Bharat Pandit of Junior boys department came first by completing the competition in 59.17 minutes. Females also showed great enthusiasm in the competition.Females were supposed to climb 2200 steps in one hour. Rina Thamar of senior girls department completed the competition in 36.22 minutes and came first and Madhu Chauhan of Junior girls department completed the competition in 38.42 minutes.

Tv9 Gujarat – Lion dies because of Overdose of Drugs, Junagadh
Irresponsibility of forest officials who injected three injections to make the lion unconscious . The lion was found ill and officials in their attempt to catch the lion injected three injections which resulted in his death. On the other hand forest officials said that they fired five injections from which three were transfused in his body. Everyone is waiting for the post mortem report of the lion after which action will be taken against the responsible person.

On 26th Jan that is yesterday tremors were felt in few region of Junagadh. At 7:32 PM quake jolt was felt in talala, Maliya and Keshod region of Junagadh. On Richter scale magnitude was recorded as 3.3. It was a minor quake.
